Did KMT's fix work for anybody? It would be helpful if you're reporting these issues then include the iPhone model you are using, as well as the version of ios installed on the phone, so that we can understand whether it is isolated to specific models. |

Topic: DAFNE Online Mobile / Download entries from site? Hi Alan,I'm using OS 5.0.1 on a 4S and it's still working OK for me. It does take a while if you have a large number of entries - have you tried leaving it for a few minutes to complete the download? I'll test it out with a big number and see if it fails for me too. Topic: General Discussion / Redoing DAFNE???
Apologies, Mark and I have been upgrading the site and some errors slipped through the net, the handbook is working again now ![]() I think novorapidboi is giving some real sound advice to you here. Don't underestimate the power of writing your readings down - if you can see them on paper (or on the diary here) then you will be able to notice trends and see where adjustments in dosage might need to be made. If you use the diary on here, even if you aren't able to spot the trends in the diary, you can share with other people and ask for advice - there are so many people helping each other out here. One comment:
I'd say try and test more often, not only will it contribute to keeping a record of your sugars so that you can make adjustments; you may be pleasantly surprised and find that some readings are in range - which could show you that getting on-target readings is possible, and motivate you to keep track of and adjust your insulin doses. |

Topic: Site Development / Access to Diary Results Hi There,So far the site has been up and running since 2008 and we have all diary entries posted in that time still on here. There are no plans as yet to put a limit on number or time of entries stored; however if that changes due to database restrictions then we'll let everyone know. Simon |

Topic: General Discussion / Merry Christmas.... Ah, you got in there first novorapidboi, I just logged on to write our Xmas post![]() So I'd like to first wish you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the festive season and beyond. I hope Santa brings you all you want! Secondly, I'd like to thank you all for the many positive contributions on the site; the whole reason we created DAFNE Online was to provide an extended support network for DAFNE Graduates, and after browsing the topics of the past 12 months, I can see a lot of DAFNE Graduates from around the world helping one another out. Finally, don't feel limited by your diabetes; we all know the festive season brings the opportunity to over-indulge (I fully intend to ![]() Merry Christmas to you all. Simon x |

Topic: General Discussion / Meters I use the Aviva Nano as my main meter and couldn't be happier with it - it's nice and compact and the finger pricker contains 6 lancets so you have to change it less often. My previous meter was a OneTouch UltraSmart, which was fairly bulky in comparison; and I got a bit lazy with regard to changing the lancets on it - so the Nano is perfect for me! |

Topic: General Discussion / Holiday worries, any advice Hi ketostix - you don't mention how long since you have done the course, but I have found that you do get used to estimating CP's in foods when eating out, and it does get easier based on experience. As Mark says you don't have to be spot on all the time; if you do get an unexpectedly high or low reading then try and figure out why it was, and then learn from it.Having said that if you think you are getting CP's right and your BG readings are constantly going up, it may be worth considering upping your QA:CP ratio to 1.5:1 or 2:1 Finally, remember March is 4 months away, which is 4 months of learning and adjustment using the DAFNE principles - I'd say don't miss out on the fantastic opportunity of a trip to Florida - you will have learned a whole lot more by then anyway.
