Topic: Site Development / DAFNE Online iPhone application - help with content/design needed Hi Catherine,When you say login page do you mean the Settings page? If you enter your details correctly on here, then turn Diary Upload to 'On', when you save a diary entry it will upload it to the diary on this site. From the Diary tab on the app you can also download entries from the site to your app diary. Thanks, Simon |

Topic: General Discussion / email reminders Hey Mark,What have we been asked to remind people about? I've promised to add in the emails for a new message being received, and we already have the email subscriptions to topics. As you say, there's already too much email in the world and I don't want to contribute to its proliferation ;) |

Topic: DAFNE Online Mobile / Losing data betweene the iPhone app and the desktop version Hi Elisa,This is strange, do you have diary upload turned on in your iPad app? The settings don't sync between devices yet. Also can you try putting an incorrect username or password on the settings page? This should mean you see an invalid credentials message when you save an entry, which will at least demonstrate that the app is trying to start the upload. Simon |

Topic: DAFNE Online Mobile / Losing data betweene the iPhone app and the desktop version Hi Eli,Do the entries still show up in the app? If so try looking at them and saving them again, this should trigger an upload. Note if you delete entries in the app this will delete them on the site but not vice versa. The comments problem is one a few people have mentioned - is it just on the iPad that the comments problem happens? So far I've been unable to reproduce it on my phone or simulator. Thanks, Simon |

Topic: General Discussion / Carb Free/ Exercise Question Hi Rhys,I would say that eating a couple of carb free meals a week won't aid you in weight loss on its own. In my weight loss pursuit I've found that eating little often keeps the metabolism high which burns off more calories. It's about eating the right kind of carbs - brown rice, pasta, sweet potato, wholegrains etc are all good as they have a lower glycaemic index than refined carbs like pizza, white bread, pasta, and so they cause fewer/lower sugar spikes. See more useful nutrition tips here under the Fat Loss Nutrition Information heading. Also if you're exercising you'll need some carbohydrate intake beforehand as carbs are the fuel the body needs to function. Eating a carb free meal (and so not taking insulin) then exercising may have unpredictable results - you may have some background insulin left which is accelerated when you exercise which could lead to a hypo, however if you have no insulin in you then the hormones produced as a result of exercise might actually push your sugars up. Hope this helps! Simon |

Topic: General Discussion / diabetic logo tatoo Hi there,I know most paramedics are told to look around the pulse points (bracelets / necklace area) so perhaps there is your best bet. I know a chap who had it tattooed on his forearm as well. Simon |

Topic: Site Development / Injection site list
Hi Roger (and others) You can now specify a QA and BI Injection site separately when entering diary entries on the site (both full and mobile websites). I'll work on getting the ability to do this in the smartphone apps soon. Simon |

Mark, are you talking about the REST services? That's one way to do it - we could also look at the possibility of users uploading a CSV file as described by gab above. |

Topic: DAFNE Online Mobile / iPhone App - Comments & Custom Carb Items Hi Rich,Will take a look at this for you - tried to run the video on my Mac but all I see is a green screen, will try on my Windows machine. You should be able to add a custom carb item by pressing the + button on the Carbs list; and then after pressing done in the top right hand corner it should appear in the list when you tap 'Show Mine' I just did it on mine for both the AU and UK carbs lists and seems to work OK. Do you not see this? Cheers, Simon |
