Topic: General Discussion / CP's Diary Entry

40g carbs would be written as 4 CP as a BG Diary entry.

What would I enter 15g carbs as?

13.5 - bedtime - had sandwich 2 slices (30g carbs) (hubbys fault he surprised me with a prawn one) instead of butter puffs x4 with cheese
17.9 - night/basal test
9.8 - this morning - eeeek! where's the hypo gone!

have decided to stick with BI at the usual time 10.00pm and do some basal testing but typical where's that hypo! Should I do another basal test tonight?

Topic: General Discussion / Bedtime / Morning BS

I'm now in the process of bringing BI to a morning dose instead of night time (10.00pm). Going to do it backwards so did it 1 hour earlier (9.00pm). Will leave it at this time for 4/5 days before altering again. Hope this is the right way of doing it rather than doing it in one big jump missing a night time dose and having to watch out for a high BS the next morning.

Warburton's small sliced wholemeal - each slice is 1 cp - nice and easy to calculate QA dose.

Warburtons small sliced wholemeal = 9.7g
Warburtons Toastie white bread (large loaf) (orange wrapper) = 20.8g/ech slice = 2 cp
Warburtons Medium white bread (large loaf) (blue wrapper) = 17.7g/ech slice = 1 cp/2cp?
Warburtons Medium white bread (small loaf) = 10.7g/ech slice = 1cp

all sliced by the way

So just wondering what bread you all have?

I'll start - I was having Warburtons Toastie white bread (large loaf) (orange wrapper) but have changed to Warburtons Medium white bread (large loaf) (blue wrapper)

Topic: General Discussion / 7-day waking average

Hi NR,

Thanks for replying/helping.

How did that happen______
Absolutely no idea

Too much QA, was the count right______
At teatime I had bolognese (homemade) left from the night before and also rice (packet of) the sort which you cook in the microwave - 52.0g carbs per sachet - had it hundreds of times - did 5u QA as i usually would for this.

What was your correction dose before bed______
I never do a correction dose at bedtime for fear of going hypo during my sleep. Maybe at the level I could/should.

Topic: Carbohydrate Counting / My Carb Guess Challenge!

Hi michaelj,

Thank you for your reply.

I've just checked and the Batchelor's oxtail cup a soup (1 sachet) = 12.8g cho per sachet.

The toastie is not actually toasted - Warburtons Toastie is the actual name of it's and = 20.8g cho per slice.

Total = 54.4g so maybe call it 50g/60g.

Topic: General Discussion / 7-day waking average

This topic is as I mentioned earlier for people to post their waking levels.

Others can then comment/offer help. It's also for a bit of fun and not for anyone to be judged.

Eeeek! Here goes with my last 3 mornings:

Thur 31/01
10:35am - Bfast (so after I had actually put feet to floor) - 7.5

Wed 30/01
07:41 - Fastng - 3.1

Tues 29/01
08:20 - Fastng - 2.9

Topic: General Discussion / Changing Ratio after Hypo

My lunchtime ratio is 1.5:10 (1 and a half units to every 10g cho).

When I tested ready to have my lunch today I was hypo - 3.1 - so treated, waited to do 15 minute test at which point BS was then 6.7. I then had my lunch but instead of doing my usual QA 1.5:10 ratio did 1:10. Am I correct in doing this?

Gill Smile
