Topic: General Discussion / 7-day waking average I agree with James. Taking a reading shortly after supper will give some wildly high results. Test beforehand and use that as your bedtime reading. It will likely show a much lower value, and explain why you hypo in the mornings so much. I'd suggest cutting out supper until you have your overnight BI dose right, and then you can add supper back in with enough QA to handle it, and have the correct dose of BI too leading to no highs before bed and no lows in the morning.I recently switched from single dose BI to split dose and like James, that does work well for me although I can understand that it won't work for everyone. If you decide to split your dose, then talk to your HCP before doing this though as it is a bit tricky to split a dose without some wild BG results during the transition. |

Topic: General Discussion / 7-day waking average Actually you should do bedtime result when there is no carbs or insulin working, only at least when your looking to paint a picture of whats happening overnight.......Its clear you need to reduce your BI though.....so when you do reduce it, have a few days supper free/carb free to check what happens with the new reduced dose..... Your on a single dose if BI aren't you......? Having a split dose is the only way to go....in my opinion.....flexibility is the key... I think when your BI dose is right it is OK to test before supper, and use that as your pre bed result... ![]() |

Topic: General Discussion / 7-day waking average
- Yes the hypos are back ![]() ![]() - I've not done anything yet about it but now you say really I should be maybe reducing the BI possibly by 2u. Just seems that whenever I reduce BI BS all go up then whenever I increase BI BS all come crashing down. - no I've not recorded pre bed results with no butterpuffs. I usually have supper then do the bedtime test when I get into bed. So maybe I should do bedtime results just before having supper. |

Topic: General Discussion / Checkers for skiing-low temperatures I have had no problem skiing, just keep meter in an inside pocket. The goggle pocket is ideal, your insulin will also need to be in an inside pocket. Have a good time |

Topic: General Discussion / 7-day waking average
Why? I mean, at the moment, yeah, as you have been dropping quite significantly overnight, but what you should be doing at the moment is having nothing before bed, to see what your BI is doing.... Now that your numbers are creeping back up in the morning the only thing left to do is 3 consecutive days BI testing, no food after dinner, only drink water, no exercise, 3 am tests...... Yay...... ![]() |

Topic: DAFNE Online Mobile / Losing data betweene the iPhone app and the desktop version Hi Simon,I have diary upload enabled on the iPad as well as the iPhone, are you saying that the two devices don't 'talk' to each other? In that case, would they not both feed off the desktop version, if the data is being correctly uploaded from each device? Will try put in a bad password this evening and see what happens. Thanks Eli |
