Topic: Site Development / Diary problems on my phone Hi, my DAFNE app on my phone isn't working properly, never had this problem before? It isn't loading my bgs and won't except new ones, or if it does it changes it to a different date? I've checked to see if it needs an update, but nothing shows up?If I delete and reload the app will I loose all my previous bgs? (As I don't want to loose them) Any ideas?? |

Topic: Carbohydrate Counting / Maths Test Can anyone give me the calculation (in easy terms) of working out the carbs in any food by weighing them, I did have this calculation when I did the DAPHNE course but I have misplaced it. Many thanks Janice Cotgrove![]() |

As a child (in early 90s, so hopefully better now?) I broke my arm, rushed to hospital as expected. With stress and cortisol etc... my BG was 17, first thing nurses and docs did was put me on a glucose drip! They couldn't get my BG down after that for ages! |

Topic: DAFNE Online Mobile / Add favourites to the mobile app. Hi Jenny, are you using the Android version of the app? I'd assumed it was the iOS version... if it's the android one then I'll have to check as I don't have that installed![]() |

Topic: DAFNE Online Mobile / Add favourites to the mobile app. Thanks again Simon. I'm sorry but I can't see the plus sign. I'm not sure what you mean by the "list of Carbs". Is it the "Food Groups" category? Jenny |

Topic: DAFNE Online Mobile / Add favourites to the mobile app. Ah, sorry I got the wrong end of the stick; when looking at the list of Carbs you'll see a plus sign in the top right hand corner - you can use this to add a Carb entry of your own. |

Hi Peter, thanks for that. I agree that the extra insight from a CGM would be invaluable. I have been looking at a few CGM devices recently and my diabetes nurse also recommended the Libre - I am, however, a die-hard iOS fan!! Oh the struggles we diabetics have to endure. |

Hi Alan, Agree that the 3am alarm calls are a drag. You could invest in a Libre to get a picture of exactly what's happening overnight. Yes it is expensive but the addition visibility you obtain makes it worthwhile (in my opinion). At least cost has been reduced a little if you have a recent Android phone which supports NFC communications in which case the separate reader is no longer mandatory. IOS version is due next year. |

Topic: DAFNE Online Mobile / Add favourites to the mobile app. Many thanks Simon. I am a new DAFNE graduate after 32 years of being a type 1 diabetic. The course was amazing and I cannot praise it too highly. Regarding my question on favourites, I am looking for a place to store my customised favourites (ie certain meals with multiple food items that I eat on a regular basis). Is there any way of doing this in the app? Kind regards, Jenny |

Topic: General Discussion / Multiple Page Entries Rejecting Hi Simon,I have been able to repeat my error and have worked out my problem. I can now see the error message at the top of the page which reads "Errors found in row 4: Entry time and date are invalid lengths" Firstly I did not enter a date. I leave all dates as blank if they are the same day as the first date entered. The system in fact entered the date/s when the error was displayed. However, It does not seem to be an invalid length but that's ok. Secondly, I see I have been entering the time in the same format as it gets displayed on the diary e.g. I have been entering 3:00 for 3am (which is accepted) and 10:15 for 1015am. Obviously the field length is 4 digits only hence the error on line 4 where I entered the time as 10:15. I have now overcome this problem by entering the time correctly i.e. as 1015 Thank you for your help and I look forward to learning more with your DAFNE Online system. It is great Cheers......Peter |

Topic: Site Development / Targets for exercise I have found now where I can Set Targets under the heading "Click here to edit your diary settings" on the diary page.I was looking for a "Set Targets" heading on the diary page as you instructed Stew. It would be nice to have the facility under Settings on your top line of all pages. |

Topic: DAFNE Online Mobile / Add favourites to the mobile app. In the mobile app there is a button marked favourites, but when I click on that it says “presently no items“. How do I add a favourite to this list? |

Topic: Site Development / Targets for exercise Hi Simon,I can see targets on the diary page under BG COLOUR LEGEND On Target Below Target Above Target but no facility to "Set Targets" I can set targets on my Phone App but these do not carry over to the online version. Also, when I try to go to your link above you provided for Stew I get the message. "The page you were looking for doesn't exist". |

Topic: General Discussion / Multiple Page Entries Rejecting When I try to "Add All" on the Multiple Entries Page it fails with one particular line being highlighted. However, there is No Error message to say what is wrong or what should be corrected. Where is the error message positioned? The Ratio (QA-CP) edit part below the Ratio entry square is also highlighted but selecting any of these ratios still rejects. It is most annoying when you have entered a day's worth of stats but cannot proceed. One then has to go back and enter them individually. Most time consuming. ![]() Ideally, if the error cannot be corrected, there should be the facility to process at least those entries that are correct with the invalid error line reported as to the error. |

Thanks very much Becky for your comment. Interesting that your tests are all over the place too with the Tresiba and you're getting the morning highs. If there is one thing I really hate about diabetes it's setting my alarm for three in the morning for a blood test :-(. As you suggested I am going to organise a visit with the diabetic team during the week and will keep you posted. Thanks again! FYI my A1C was 6.2 on the Lantus with, admittedly, a few lows which I do not think were unmanageable, reluctant to give up on a 6.2 long term result. |

Topic: Questions for HCPs / Changed from Lantus to Tresiba I have only recently done the DAFNE course and myself was having the same problems with highs in the morning after changing from Lantus to Tresiba. Anyway, they told me to change it as you would normally so 10-20% so maybe 1-2 units.I personally don't think it's for me as my sugars have been everywhere since I've been on it! Hope this helps! If you're still unsure I'd ask your diabetic team ![]() |
