On Mark2's comment - couldn't agree more. The carbs list is available for free on the site, and at the end of the DAFNE course in paper form, we're just trying to make it as accessible as possible for everyone. Hopefully we can resolve this and make it free to all, we'll keep you posted.

Great stuff Simon on the App have posted comment on itunes regarding some issues I forgot to mention that it always defaults to breakfast when inputting data could this be worked off time settings. I have been using diabetes diary very good app and much easier to input figures through keyboard / wheel click have a look. Well done good to see progress being made.

Hi Brian - thanks, some constructive comments there. I'd be interested to hear other users thoughts on how the data is inputted - happy to go with the majority on the best way to input things. In the next update I'll add something to allow you to map times of day to entry types.

Karl - thanks, it was too late to get that change into this version, but will be fixed in the next update.

Keep the feedback coming!

Hi Simon

Ive had the app for a couple of days now and just wanted to comment on the quality and simplicity of the functions you have created. I cant tell you how delighted I am that the DAFNE interfaces have got 21st century. It is having a very positve effect on my overall control and willingness to keep a full and complete diary. I always found the paper diary quite a barrier to continued entries, especially for snacks and drinks outside of nornal main meals. However having the app in my pocket at time of consumption is brilliant.

Keep up the good work

Hi,

Just wanted to say the iPhone app is fabulous, and so easy to use, thanks for all the hard work put into it. I had an appointment today at the diabetes clinic and when the doctor asked if I had any diary or readings with me I pulled out my iPhone and showed him the app, he was very impressed and spent almost as much time looking at the app as talking to me!! Although I can honestly say I'm so pleased with the app I really didn't mind :-)

nice to hear that Simon's hard work is being so well recieved. For those that don't have an iphone we do hope to develop a version of the app that will run on other phones. This is just about to start development and I make no promises about how quick it will get done since I have never written software for mobile phones before. But hey its a great challenge and hopefully will result in something that is of great use to everyone. i will post about my progress on site development forum and hopefully have something working in a month or two/.

One small snag if it is left running in background overnight when you input the next day the results won't show up until the is fully closed by double clicking the home button and then holding down an app until a horz red line appears. Still great app and with carb food cp access of web page np need to carry my cp book
