Hi novorapid, here's a sample that one of our users has already sent in:

Current BG 15.3
Target minimum BG 5.5
Target maximum BG 7.5
% of where to aim for in target range (50% is in the middle of the range) 33.33%
QA:BG ratio (how much you expect your BG to lower given 1 unit of QA Insulin) 1:0.61
Expected dosage after calculation +15

Simon,

Do you want actual figures from previous days or made up perfect situations?

Mine should be fairly easy to check Very Happy

Current BG 15.3
Target minimum BG 5.5
Target maximum BG 7.5
% of where to aim for in target range (50% is in the middle of the range) 25%
QA:BG ratio (how much you expect your BG to lower given 1 unit of QA Insulin) 1:2
Expected dosage after calculation +4.65

On this I would give 4 or 5 depending on how exact I knew the carbs too. This should bring me down to 6.0.

Hi Phil,

Great sample - just what I needed. You'll be pleased to know the app calculated the correction correctly (+4 as it always rounds down for safety)

If anyone wants to supply more test data like the above it would be most appreciated.

Current BG: 10.8
Target Minimum: 4.5
Target Maximum: 7.5
Target to Aim For: 85%

novorapidboi26,

Dif between 4.5 to 7.5 is 3 so 85 % is 2.55 so you are aiming at 4.5+2.55 = 7.05

3 units * 2 = 6 I would expect you to be at 4.8 on 3 units.

Is the % correct or the ratio?

it would seem both, I would be aiming for 5.5 mmol/l, so that would be 33%?

1 unit drops me by 2mmol/l when between 10-13mmol/l.....

You wouldn't be able to get exactly to 5.5 like I couldn't get to 6.0 in my example.

You would need a correction @ 1:2 of 2.7 to drop by 5.4, Simon always rounds down for safety, the app should suggest a correction of 2 units here.

The main thing for me is;

Will the app be able to consider my BG level and use one of 4 correction factors that I use...
