Topic: Site Development / Targets range Thanks Carolin. I thought I remembered being told "4 is the floor". i.e. 4 should be the lower limit before any corrective action was taken. I will change my target ranges accordingly. I still don't understand the effect of exercise on my BG. I usually do some aerobic type exercise first thing in the morning, but don't have any breakfast, therefore, don't have any QA insulin. My BG has usually risen considerably by lunchtime even if my "breakfast" BG is relatively low.![]() |

Topic: Site Development / Targets range Hi!I was printing off my graphs for my diabetic clinic check today and realised that the BG targets on them don't actually reflect the targets I have entered on my iPod app. My upper target is 8 at all times of the day and my lower is 4 (apart from driving) as this seems to suit me best for correctional purposes. The target bands on the graph, however, vary through the day and tend to be lower than 8. This makes my results look a lot worse than they are, when my HbA1c is 6.2. Is there a way of personalising the target bands in the graphs? |

Topic: Site Development / Injection site list
Yes! I have been thinking exactly the same as you for some time now. There should be left & right buttocks just as there are left & right thighs etc. Also, I too use 2 different areas when giving BI & QA at the same time so 2 injection site boxes would be much better. (I enter my results on my iPod app) |

Topic: DUAG Committee / workstream 2 I agree with the last statement above. You won't get more DUG members by sending DUG anything! It's the DAFNE graduates that need to be contacted for this purpose surely. |

Topic: DUAG Committee / workstream 2 I agree with Emma - aren't we already asking for permission & contact details in the letter I produced? Talking of which, does everyone approve of the latest version & should I send it to Gill for production as we are already behind on our target dates? I also think Emma's 3rd point is a good idea.Annette x |

Topic: DUAG Committee / First draft of DUG letter I realise we must have some contact details in order to send this letter, but I thought it was being posted out, and we were asking for e-mail addresses or maybe 'phone numbers if they don't have e-mail (unusual I know, but some people may not have e-mail). If you want to amend it to asking for other means of contact than addresses that's fine by me. I also thought central DAFNE was going to send it out so how do we get Gillian to look at it & arrange for this to happen?Mark, I assume Tony has not yet sent you his ammendments by e-mail & that's why they don't yet appear on here? Brian, I didn't get home to my computer until 23rd September so was hard pushed to get this done before 1st Oct but managed to get it on here by 28th Sept. I can do nothing more until the final draft is approved & we get whoever is supposed to be producing it & sending it out to do so. As you say, it was a total "shot in the dark" as I did not receive any help in response to my plea so just went ahead anyway. I also don't know who they should send their responses to or by when, so have left that bit as ....... at the end of the letter. Can you tell I'm getting a bit fed up with the whole thing?!! |

Topic: DUAG Committee / First draft of DUG letter David - the version on my original posting includes my additions as I have edited it. I can't access anything that Tony says he's added either. Glad you think it's ok - and I agree - anything longer would probably be too much. |

Topic: DAFNE Graduate Group (DGG) / ?elected? Why does this forum say that the DUG is an ELECTED group who meet to discuss? I thought that was DUAG? Any DAFNE graduate can be a member of the DUG can't they? |

Topic: DUAG Committee / Welcome and Thank You Hi I can access this no problem. When I write this letter I need to know to whom or where DUG members should reply, and also what do we actually want to know? Are we just asking for general willingness to help should the need arise, or are there specific questions? How long do you want this letter to be? I assume you don't want a long description of what DUAG's aims are? Sorry if I seem a bit vague - but I got home and realised I didn't really have a clear idea of what we actually want to put in this letter or what format it should take. Is it just informative, or are we seeking specific information? If the latter, who should be receiving this info?Annette |

Topic: General Discussion / Bayer Contour USB Yes - I looked at getting a cable when I first got the meters, but found they are not (or at least weren't then) compatible with a Mac. |

Topic: General Discussion / Bayer Contour USB Thanks - that was helpful - I don't think I'll bother with one - it would be too complicated getting my strips prescription changed knowing my GP surgery. I'll stick with writing my results in my diary. |
