How pleasant to hear about a consultant who listens to patient needs. There are plenty of them out there...not driven by fiscal constraint...but by patient need.
I hope the pump solves all your issues. Good luck.

So far LOVE the omnipod. The tiny doses are great for me and with no tubing I barely know its there...other than the clicking and beeps giving its presence away. Have had a few lows, at 3.8 but have adjusted basal rates for different times of the day to help stop this. But it's great!! Laughing Very Happy

Keep us in the loop please.
Hopefully plenty more patients will be able to provide such positive feedback about your pump and it's use.

Great news about the Omnipod, as I expected........

I will definitely be trying for one of these if the opportunity presents itself....... Smile

Hello,
Not sure if it's the same in Lanarkshire but when I was at my DAFNE yearly catch up a few weeks ago (in Glasgow) they were actively looking for people to get pumps.
Hope you get one Very Happy

Currently having to alter basal rates every few days asI appear to have become even more sensitive than before, but at least it can be easily adapted compared to injections. In general control is already better than before...wish I had been put on pump at start now. My pod is now known as my new best friend! Very Happy

Still going well on the Omnipod. Been having a few hypos, at specific times of day so ratios etc been altered again! One limitation is that the basal rate only goes as low as 0.05... But I need to have a rate of 0.00 at certain times which can only be done using temp basal rates...so it's up at midnight and 6am every day to switch to temp basal!
Consultants very happy..and me too.. Hba1c is at 43 and within the pregnancy target range I have to aim for (am not pregnant tho!)
Feel so much better and freer since being on the omnipod...highly recommend it!
