Doh! Thanks Simon, you're right - I've saved it as the wrong type! (should have realised)

Hello All Diarists..
Thinking about speed of multiple entries to the diary, the item that slows me up most is the allocation of Type of entry (eg Before Dinner) as need to use the mouse at that point rather than main keyboard. ( Or is there already another method?)
How about some system which enables the continued use of the tab key to skip through the possible options on buttons and then possibly hit another specified key to select the required option, before tabbing on the comments?
Or perhaps a numeric entry 1-8 might work better to select the Type?
Another slight speed up would be auto Date duplication from previous row if (say) a 0 is typed in the Date. A bit quicker than CntlC then CntlV’s.
Food for thought possibly, Cheers John

Hi John,
Depending on the web browser you use you should be able to press the tab key to move through the text fields, and when you get to the drop-down box for type you can use the arrow keys (usually underneath/around the Enter keys on your keyboard) to select the type. You should then be able to continue using the tab keys as normal.
You are also able to press the first letter of a type when the type box is selected, and cycle through all types beginning with that letter. For instance, pressing B will cycle through 'Before Breakfast', 'Before Lunch' and 'Before Dinner'.
Re the auto-date duplication, I'll look into this and see what we can do there for you.

Hi Simon ...
Thought there might be a simple solution to hand for those in the know; but two for the price of one .. can't be bad.
Thanks, John

Hello Simon..
Having entered the Type using the keys you suggested, which works well, the next thought is:
Could the option to enter multiple data also be offered at the diary page top, perhaps further along the ‘Click here’ line so that those of us who enter several days at once can avoid scrolling down to the current option location every 10 entries? Or perhaps the diary data display could be togglable on/off?
Perhaps just the last day entered could be displayed as a reminder where to continue from.
I appreciate this mod is only speeding up the manual process whilst you all work towards auto uploading as NiVZ is posting. I have an Roche Aviva meter with Compass software which does an infra-red (I think) USB upload, so will see if the Serial port monitor software mentioned can provide any useful info. Getting a bit geeky for me though!
Cheers, John

Hi John,
Am a bit confused here - do you want to see the last set of entries for your diary on the multiple entry page, or see a form to enter data at the top of the diary view.
There's a third option to make things easy here - a link to adding multiple entries at the top of the diary/in the toolbox on the right.
As always we want to make the user experience as easy and fun as possible, just want to clarify exactly what you want!
Thanks,
Simon

Hi Simon
Sorry if not clear but simply I suggest:
- link to enter multiple data is offered at the top of the diary page, perhaps located further along the ‘Click here’ line.(ie your third option and not in the toolbox) - If selected, this would display only the data for the last entered day (as a reminder, but editable as normal) and below that offer the normal 10 lines for new data.
Hope that clarifies.
Thanks, John

Hi Simon..
Looks good to me .. apart from the displayed Reminder data seems to be for 7 days before the actual last day entered! (In my case 8th not 15th).
No doubt a quick fix?
Cheers, John

Hi John,
Interestingly you have entries stored for 8th November (not October) - these are the latest you have stored and so they are the ones that are being picked up. Did you enter November instead of October for these dates?
Thanks,
Simon
