Hard to say at the moment - just get high BS for no apparent reason at times - is generally high on waking too. Sure it's the BI, but I seem to very insulin-sensitive and a change of just one unit leads to hypos. Am on Levemir split dose of 12 and 6 units. Thanks for all your interest and help Smile

Waking is a problem for lots if not all folk, me too....................the old Dawn Phenomenon is an irritating beast, but it can be tamed.........

Have you tested your overnight BI dose recently, ie no carbs/insulin/correction before bed.............

The Dawn Phenomenon can be confirmed with 3 am tests, have you don this recently.......

Spontaneous high BG readings together with problems with the gut could be related, possible digestive problems, gastoparesis maybe..............

you haven't started a new sugar free drink or sweets have you? sweetners can definately give you the runs.
