Hi
I did the course last week and found it very inspirational however I'm really concerned that my tests seem a little uncontrolled. I've had very few tests within the recommended ranges and seem to be running mainly high but not consistently enough for me to change my ratio or BI. Feel a bit down about it tonight especially after being so positive last week. Think I need to just keep at it, needed a rant, hope that's OK!

That's quite fine Michelle! I know I've been frustrated too so it's easy to relate! ^_^

Feel free to post some results through the BG diary option on this site... shall try to help!

Michelle,
I did the course about 18 months ago and not to this day have I achieved a day of completely green results. It's frustrating but stick with it and good luck.

vic your absolutely right about a whole day of good results, its possible but can be very rare.

After leaving the consistencies of the DAFNE classrooms your body is bound to start behaving differently, but hopefully it should settle down after you get back into your normal routine, this usually requires you to keep an eye on your BI dose as you liver dumping changes to suit your daily needs.

Feel free to ask anything......

It took me nearly 5 months to get things back after doing DAFNE in November 2009.
Here is some encouragement for me though ..... the latest in about 3 green days that I have had since then!
Stick with it.
Once you completely trust the strong framework provided by DAFNE it will work for you.

I suppose you can have all green days, well done Garry................my results resemble these Monday to Friday so dont really see all green days as I test in between meals, for no other reason other than curiosity and well, seeing how injecting 20, 30, 40 minutes before meals effect the post meal spike, the results are promising..........Dawn Phenomenon is a pain, but hopefully I will be pumping soon

novorapidboi26, how many test strips do you use and is your GP happy to supply them? I have trouble getting enough for 4/5 tests per day.

I get 4 boxs of 50 every 4 weeks - This was due to a letter from my DAFNE course to GP to up it to that. If they wont increase dont forget you 'should test everytime you drive' as a good argument
