Hi Dave,
I am a sports ground groundsman, have been for the last 15 years. Did Dafne about 3 years ago and am still struggling to be honest to get a settled line. Either low or too high, very few greens. Shortly after Dafne, I was going hypo 3-4 times a day using the 1:1 method, have now dropped it to 0.5:1 during the working day and increase to 1.5:1 in the evening. Because of the nature of the work, control is a nightmare. One day sat on a mower all day doing little, next running behind a pedestrian model or pulling heavy sheets all over the place or worse still top dressing. Always have some Coke close by and try to plan your QA intake by what you will be doing that day. Sorry very vague but its a hard battle. I thought it would be so much better after Dafne but that is not my experience sadly, deapite a huge effort.
Good luck.

Vic,

You really do sound like the ideal candidate for a pump, the main benefit being the delivery of much smaller doses....

Do you think?

Novo, I did visit the pump clinic for a while shortly after Dafne but was always concerned about the safety of a pump in my job - I break mobile phones for fun - which involves a lot of lifting and carrying heavy bags and equipment around, twisting and turning. Have a friend who is on one and he swears by it, not sure if its for me though.

I think if/when you get fed up of all the hypos and run the risk of losing warning signs it might be worth a go, even just to see how it copes in your work environment....

First of all thank you all for your advice, will keep you all updated as I progress!
Vic, thanks for the advice based on your own experience as a groundsman,i am going to be more aggressive in my approach and alter my ratios as I am currently using 1.1 on my QA and am also reducing my BI. Will keep you posted.
Take care all
