Hi all,
for anyone interested, here's my list of apps or web sites I use when I eat out, to tell me the carbs...
Carbs n Cals - the easiest one really
www.weightlossresources.co.uk - (website rather than app) I go here straight after Carbs n cals if they don't give me the answer - nearly always covers it - a good 2nd place.
www.livestrong.com - I like this a lot too as it covers almost every take away food including carbs in chicken covered in breadcrumbs type thing.
CarbsControl – does cost £1.49 but that’s not much in the grand scheme of things however you can also go on to their web site carbscontrol.com/mains/nutridata (have it saved as a book mark)
Myfood app - good for fruit and veg - covers milk and meat and grains so maybe more aimed at ingredients as opposed to readymade meals / restaurant food.
www.lowcarbsdiets.com (not an app) but gives good description for the amount of food and also covers the GI of each food too.
I do have the McDonalds app too for those occasions I go there. Their nutrition pages cover wraps, coffee's, fruit bags etc.
Note that a couple of these are American but they still make sense and do the trick.
Please don't all the above in the way it looks, I'm not that bad I just don't like cooking for 1 (as the other half is a chilli eating veggie!).
Often, if I've had a naughty day of carbs or had a bit of chocolate when I do go out, I will have non carb food i.e. garlic prawns for starter and steak and mash which is really easy to account for.

High eating out panic. Eating out can be a problem as you never know what the meal is cooked or made with. My method is test before leaving the house. When rece3iving meal make an estimated gues of what you think it is then inject. Later maybe 1-2 hours test again and make a corrective dose. My first injection has never been correct so do not worry. Enjoy you evenings out. :
