Sorry last post was not clear. I was talking about the metformin. I don't think it is so uncommon.

Thanks for all the helpful advice.
I thought the night hypo causing a morning high thing was a myth or misconception according to the recent post on here?
Regarding the metformin, I was on it. I stopped taking it when my prescription was cut without consultation and I kept running out before I got the next prescription. Since then my blood sugars have not really got straight again. I wish I had never taken it. I never lost any weight in fact I was gaining, and it did not improve my blood sugars. Before I took it I was just out of DAFNE, my ratios were working fine and I was losing weight. Metformin just messed everything up.
