i dont know if its normal but im on my period and my blood sugar seems to be higher than normal - two days in a row now i can increase my background insulin because its lantus and by the time its takes effect my period will be over - i have checked for ketones and ive got none and ive increased my ratio by 1/2 but its still high

BGs can vary during your period...its to do with the hormones! True about Lantus, so prob best not to change, you're doing the right thing though checking for ketones and a small increase in ratios.
Suppose this is one of the advantages of the pump as you can set a temp basal for exactly this reason!

thanks for the reply my BG has gone back to its normal range and im back to my 1:1 ratio panic over
