Instead of 'free mixing', why can't you give yourself your dose of QA insulin and then the small dose of BI from a different pen?

You could although 7 injections might be considered a bit excessive by some, it was done in a clinical trial and got pretty good control for those who put up with it but hasn't caught on, on the basis that it is not really practical. Simon
