Mushy Peas

Does anyone know whether you need to count the CP value of mushy peas. I know from my DAFNE course that you do not need to count normal peas but wonder whether anyone knows if this is the same for mushy peas. When you look on the side of the can it says 10.9 grams of carbohydrate per 100g and there is sugar in them. Any ideas?

I had mushy peas yesterday and decided to ignore the CP's and my blood glucose rose unexpectedly by 5 mmol. Next time I'm going to count them. According to the tin I had 2 CP's of mushy peas and this could easily account for a 5 mmol rise.
