As I am a recent DAFNE graduate my CP estimation is RUBBISH! I am as a result having to weigh everything. At home it's ok as I have a decent digital scale, what do people use when eating out? My dietitian mentioned that in one of her previous groups somebody had a scale that folded out of a compact mirror. This sounds amazing!
I would be interested to know what/if anyone does about this.
Thanks,
Clare

I'm not recommending this, but... soon after completing DAFNE in Feb 2007, whenever my wife Tess and I visited our local social club I found myself staring at portions of chips trying to estimate CPs . On one visit I was doing my usual worried guesswork when Tess brought our digital scales out of her (capacious) handbag, scraped the chips off my plate and weighed them - sorted!

I am also trying to source some 'mini' scales for the same reason. I read in a newspaper recently that Nadine Coyle from Girls Aloud was seen measuring a portion of fish on some portable scales in a restaurant so there must be some out there. Have tried scouring the Internet but have yet to find any. Wonder if anyone out there knows her well enough to ask where she got them from!!!!!

Just spoke to Nadine and she says.....

OK I didn't but I did have a quick search and these were on the first link I found.

Scales are 4.2cm x 6.2mm and only £14.99 which weigh up to 400g. There is another model for £9.99 that does up to 200g
