Hi. Used to b a massive carb person, loads of potatos, bread and pasta more often than, not with most meals. Iv drastically cut these right down which has improved my b. Sugars but now looking for foods to replace these with not completly but alot of the time!! Can anyone suggest replacements for bread, potato and pasta? Iv been reading loads and theres alot of funny looking foods out there but as were all in the same boat, what would the fellow community of carb counters use??

Many thanks

Things which have lower carb: burgen soya and linseed bread; low carb pasta off specialised websites; slimming world bran crispbreads. Full fat foods have less carb in than low fat versions - ie milk yoghurt etc.

Cauliflower rice...it's pretty good with a curry or stir-fry (and I don't even like cauliflower!)

Ingredients:
1/2 head cauliflower
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
Directions:
1 Put the cauliflower through the food processor or chop by hand to a semi fine consistency.
2 You can now steam, microwave or sauté with butter.
3 Please do not overcook.
