I have came across this in other Diabetics I have spoke with, but only the ones on pumps.........

How many CPs were in your helping of gravy?

What was the effect on your BG ie. before and after?

You could be sensitive to carbohydrate, however I am sticking with my understanding of the science, and will say that you need to review your BI dose.

Vegetables actually may have some carbohydrate, but in very small, slowly released amounts, so any QA delivered would be too fast for it, the BI dose is the one that is set up to deal with these.

People on a pump are being given a constant supply of insulin, but its only one type, this being a quick acting insulin, so there is no slow working insulin to deal with vegetables and the like, so this is why some, I believe, have to consider delivering QA/Bolus for non carb items.....
