Hi Chris, I would agree that the site seems to lack any serious activity. I became a Dafne graduate back in 2011 during which time I was able to access a huge amount of information that seemed to be quite secret, and the centre that I went to was led by a true professional who was so knowledgeable and approachable - unfortunately she no longer has a part within the scene that I can find. I imagine that she has retired - and the centre has to try and compensate for this. I was very unwell at the time of the course, but they helped me out so much and the benefits have helped me get on with it with new ways to live. |

Good luck with the pump therapy John H😀. It was a game changer twice for me ! First getting a pump which helped with my overnight control. Second time was getting a Tandem Tslim2, which is closed loop i.e it links to my dexcom. It’s sleep mode means EVERY morning my BG’s are well in range without me doing anything. It’s not completely perfect 24/7 yet but my HB1ac is so good my consultant keeps telling me not to try so hard and I’m not ! It just works for me. Yes you have to get used to an attached device all the time but it’s really not that hard. I wear the pump in a mini camera bag on my belt all day and clipped to my bed clothes at night. I would 100% recommend it 😁 |
