Hello fellow Dafne folks.
Just to bring some clarity to the Dexcom One system on NHS Prescription.
I was really pleased to learn that my Diabetes Specialist managed to achieve funding for me to use the above system. He also provided a traditional prescription together with a letter posted to me. I had time to make various checks to how it may differ from the Freestyle CGM that I have been using for a few months, the results were not too encouraging. The prescription was fulfilled and got the flash looking box home. No instructions at all included regading it's use or fitting. Downloaded the app from Google Play on my Samsung A22 5g mobile phone which runs Android 11 ! To discover the app won't work on my phone. So the situation requires further interventions which will incur further costs either to me or the NHS. It troubles me that much older phones with much outdated Android operating systems are more likely to work with such a new system !
So back to the Libre System for now for me !
This information is for guidance only, and to also offer up how unfortunate my current luck is !

It would seem you are unlucky as pretty much every other samsung model is listed as compatible.......the A11, the A21...

You might have been disappointed with the Dexcom One system, why, because whilst it provides continuous readings via Bluetooth when the app is synchronised with Glooko so you can record carb intake, insulin dosage exercise etc. Absolutely none of these features are visible in the Clarity reports which is a problem I am currently experiencing when I'm trying to adjust my ratios etc or looking for trends as to why I either go high or have a hypo.

I'm trying to convince OCDEM to upgrade me to G6 which apparently covers all these features.

If anyone out there has a fix around this I'd love to hear from you.

I'm having the same issue's DexcomOne is a cut price, cut down version of what is needed. Dexcom customer support is poor and rude. Embarassed

There seems to be a workaround though.
I discovered that although Clarity App is useless, using Glooko 6.0 you are able to synchronise not only your CGM readings, carbs, QA and BI but you're also able to sync your Blood Meter too.
I use a Nipro 4Sure Smart Duo and the readings are synch to the app along with everything else so are visible in the graphs and reports downloaded.

If you really want the Dexcom one to be of use look at xDrip+ for Android and xDrip4IOS on Apple. This opens up all the G6 features so calibrations, linking to a watch etc for example. I use the Dexcom receiver to update clarity which then feeds into Glooko. I found the one wasn't very accurate to say the least most were being replaced as most were reading 20-30% high. Now with calibration they are well within 5% of BG readings 10 mine before.
