After DAFNE (late last year) my low BG warning signs got minimal (2.8 with no main symptoms) because my nervous system got used to well-controlled BGs, and now I'm in anxiety about it. Irony is the stress is causing high BGs.

Anyone else had this problem?

I'm thinking I'l have to go back to pre-DAFNE control to restore the alarm, or at least some of it. It's not as if I deliberately try to keep things tight, it was just that DAFNE works.

This can often happen when control is really good.....

However, as a DAFNE graduate, you now have the ability to adjust your target ranges without any difficulty.

So it will just be a case of adjusting your target range, which will in turn effect your dose calculations.......if you are on target all the time before a meal, then you may need to tweak your insulin/carb ratio in order to keep you a mmol or two above normal...
