Thank goodness for DAFNE and sick day rules

April 03, 2015 12:50 SteveRowland DAFNE Graduate Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust 10 posts	I have been pole-axed by a horrible virus leaving me with a throat and ear infection. I have now had two positive ketone tests (last one was +++). I used the DAFNE sick day rules and so far it's ketones nil: me 2. I haven't had to go to A and E and, more importantly A and E hasn't had to see me. Thank goodness for DAFNE. If anyone doubts the value of the course here is a good example of that value! Still struggling with BG, though. Last test was 18.7....
