It's looking good this carb insulin ration is hard to do but so worth while. Hoping the weighing will become an easier thing to see instead of scales every time soon Laughing Rolling Eyes

Changed my life lol! Much improved control on less insulin ! ( Not on a pump!) Only issue is eating out but with a bit of common sense I find I can wing it. Exercise is my current downfall: even a walk up town can stimulate a hypo.....but I m working on that!

Neville COL, have you seen the Carbs & Cals app?? It's great for eating out as gives you pictures of different sized portions for common foods to help estimate how much you've had, and it will add up the carbs for you as you go along, eg pick your rice portion size, and then curry, and nann etc and it will give you a meal total. I think it costs about £1.50 but it's a small price to pay for something so useful.

Thanks for the tip..... I m getting better as I progress: its the Chinese takeaway which is the biggest challenge! The world wide web is a revelation: never thought I d find CHO values for Krispy Kreme doughnuts for instance, or, before going to Wetherspoons I d be on the computer seeking out meal favourites from the website for dietary info! There are still challenges: working in conjunction with a Dutch company, today got us round the office, very tasty, and luckily small cinnamon biscuits for St Nicholas Eve: had to resist too bigger handful! But overall my life is much improved: just waiting to see what the next Hb1 c brings..... Cool
