Continuous glucose monitoring

I was chatting to Jackie, one of the DAFNE Doctors at Sheffield this morning and she told me about this upcoming system for continuous glucose monitoring. I was lucky to have a go with the Freestyle Navigator continuous monitoring system a month or so ago, and it seems this new system, the Freestyle Libre, is an evolution of the navigator. I for one found it really useful to get a continuous view of my blood glucose, to see how my body responds to food and insulin in (near) real time. I like the sounds of this

Hope its not like loads of other promises that don't come to anything and its affordable, have wanted a CGM for sport for ages, but the running costs have put this out of reach.
