I'm buying my work colleagues and myself some cakes today. If they ask if I can eat them, I'm going to bore them to death with facts about diabetes Wink

Trying to raise awareness through family, friends etc on social media. Trying to get retweets from celebs etc. Obvious stuff but i suppose it all helps.

I feel so grateful for all the wonderful medical help I have had over the past 46 years to enable me to study, graduate and work after developing type 1 diabetes as a teenager.
I am very concerned to read about people in other countries who need insulin but are unable to obtain it and political prisoners who are denied proper food, medical attention or essential medicine for their condition. I know I would not be alive now were it not for the availability of insulin due to the work of Banting and Best.
