As well as "rounding up" or "rounding down" carbs do you also consider your BG levels ie low end of target (but not hypo!) & higher end of target?

Thanks in advance for any replies Smile

Definately! If previous QA is out system and target higher end would round up. but if at lower end would round down...am insulin sensitive so a little too much can send me hypo! Also need to consider corrections if BGs high

I always just used the target 5.5 for all my bg readings.....if I was 4.0 or above though I would just dose up as normal.......

my pump us nor programmed with a target of 6.5, so if I am below this, the pump will take units of my mealtime dose..

Yup. I bare my BGs in mind everytime, since 0.5QA can drop me by 3BG. I aim for 6BG since it sits nicely in the middle of the 4-8 ideal range.

I am the higher end of the target myself so i always round up. Only finished DAFNE last week and while my bloods aren't great they are a hell of a lot better than before. I had a mild hypo before lunch and ended up taking too many cps in error and an hour later when going to have lunch i was 10.6. A bit annoyed with myself over the cps but i corrected for lunch which i think was a mistake. I suppose you live and learn.
