Changing Ratio after Hypo

My lunchtime ratio is 1.5:10 (1 and a half units to every 10g cho).

When I tested ready to have my lunch today I was hypo - 3.1 - so treated, waited to do 15 minute test at which point BS was then 6.7. I then had my lunch but instead of doing my usual QA 1.5:10 ratio did 1:10. Am I correct in doing this?

I would leave the ratios unchanged unless there is a trend so do not change for a one-off, and adjust as required (but this maybe what you have done indirectly by a different method i.e. change ratio). But after being low, I would not adjust as the treatment (how many CPs?) has taken BS back to a target level. Changing your ratio might lead to a high/low at next check. So in this case I would take CPs X 1.5 with no adjustment. You could then adjust again at next test/meal if required.

Today I was low (3.6) at breakfast, so had extra CPs then my normal ratios and CPs with no adjustment and was a bit high (8.9) at meal as my breakfast extra CPs may have been a bit more than estimated.

Hope this helps.

You wouldn't no, keep ratios the same unless 2-3 days of high readings suggest the need for adjustment...
