The only time I ever do a correction dose is with a meal or if I had a high BS first thing in the morning. |

What would you do if you were 16.5 before bed? |

leave it and see what you are in trhe morning.its maybe something you had eaten previously which your stomach is still digesting and your insulin hasnt sorted out yet. for example if i have a baked potato a couple of hours before i go to bed my BG at bedtime is higher than normal but it tends to correct itself by morning. |

When I say before bed, I mean after any food and insulin has expired............... |

On Saturday I went out for an Indian and ate the meal about 08:10pm ish then It was 01:10am - 17.2 before bed. I didn't correct for a fear of going hypo. |

You shouldnt go hypo if you correct with right amount, even overnight, providing your long acting is right. Cant see why you would go from 13.7 to 2.9 in an hour and a half with only 2 units correction.? |
