Do you keep your insulin at the bottom or top of the fridge?

The bottom of my fridge is really cold so I keep my insulin at the top. Maybe I'm wrong???

I keep vegetables in the bottom drawers so tend to leave my insulin on the top shelf - to be honest though, I don't worry about where it is in the fridge. I have a temperature monitor too to make sure it's okay. If I'm worried, I adjust the fridge settings - like during the winter.

Hi JWo,

Why do you adjust your fridge in the winter? It is controlled by a thermostat, the temperature inside will stay at whatever the thermostat is set at regardless of the temperature outside the fridge. Assuming the absence of exceptional circumstances like fires or ice-ages of course!

Kind regards,

Roger

Does it matter where it is, I thought the temperature would stay the same top, middle or bottom if you set the thermostat.

Yes it does.
Top can be 3° C warmer than the bottom of the fridge.
I keep my insulin in a tray at the top of the door.
