I'm not sure how you're forgetting to do a blood test... though I can understand, they're not the most appealing thing to do. I've been diabetic for 22 years and for my denial stages, I did become very neglectful of doing my blood tests. When I came out the other side of that phase, I started blood testing like no one's business but I wanted the knowledge to help my health.

Why not write "do blood test" on your insulin pen or something. Will that help?
Take care.

If you eat at regular times try setting the alarm on your watch/phone for ten to fifteen minutes in advance of your meal.

I have an alarm for my background insulin on my phone as its not at meals times.

I find alarms quite useful.

Yes I agree, set an alarm on your phone, it works particularly well if you don't have regular mealtimes i.e. out and about or busy at work.

For me, doing DAFNE helped me understand the blood sugar readings, and so I found myself wanting to know what my blood sugar was, and if the dose, that I had previously calculated had done the job......being an engineer helped this come easy to me.........

if you haven't got that kind of motivation then you need to force a routine..............do you feel you have a routine for the three main meals? do you have the opportunity to sit down and test at work etc....

I cant really think of anything more than that unfortunately.................alarms is worth a go, but I don't think y have a problem remembering to test, its probably just your don't want to do it.....
