Hi, yes I've had an injection in the eye a few years ago and believe me, the thought of it is far worse than the actual injection. I was terrified but I honestly didn't feel a thing and I don't think I really suffered much pain etc afterwards. In my case they anaesthetise the eye with drops, put something on the eye to hold it open, I was sat in a normal chair, head back and it was done. The worst bit as I said is thinking about it, all I could do was imagine the needle coming for me but it's so quick and you just have to think about something else! But as I said honestly it was painless. Good luck! |

Many thanks for comments. I think I will stick with local as I am sick with generals! It has put my mind as rest a bit hearing others that have had it. As the saying goes it wil. Be. "better than a jab in the eye with a pokey stick" |

Just to add that I just had this for the first time last week and honestly, it's really not that bad. I think it's fairly common to need a few of these jags, but now, having had one of them, I'm completely relaxed about the prospect of maybe needing a few more. And I'm not exactly the bravest when it comes to this kind of thing! |
