Has anyone ever asked for a diet drink in a restaurant and then they are not sure if it is sugary or not? I have found that if you set up your blood glucose meter as if to test your blood and then dip the stick into your drink when ready - the meter will tell you for definite whether or not the drink is diet!

For example, I did this today and the reading was 1.8, so I knew the drink was definitely diet. Sometimes you can tell that a drink is definitely diet just through taste, but I find this tip is especially useful when drinking something like pepsi or pepsi max which still tastes quite sugary!

I know what you mean! I've always found diet coke really easy to identify but some of the other colas or other diet fizzy drinks can be a bit of a problem!
