Welcome to the site......

Are you having many hypos to go along with your hunger......

I am also overweight so can't give any real advice but I do know that bring active will reduce your total insulin dose and therefore allow weight to come off easier.....obviously not giving in to the hunger and keep your calories under control......

As I say this is advice I should take, I am a well built lad so am on larger doses bit my recent activity has been knocking off some background units.....I am reducing my calories but I think that I need to go below 2000 a day even though it's saying more than that on all the calculators....

i used to have everysingle day an hypo and during the night...now i have verry rarely hypos but still i ve got the feeling that i can t stop eating...i have like weeks when i have control of everything no carbs, just verry light and healty but after i just want to eat everything that i know it makes me feel bad...and the insulin doses are quite high(24 units of Lantus which i had to split it i twice and 25 to 30 units of Humalog)

I take a total of 66 units of levemir, so your not on that much......

You shouldn't starve yourself of carbs, that will make you hungry, how many grams of carbs are you having a day?

I'm in a similar boat to you. I am trying to get off lantus. I have put on weight since using it. I now eat no carbs to keep my QA low. Lantus does have a small peak, regardless of what dr's say. It can take up to 4 hrs to become fully active and does not make any effect for the ist 30 mins. If you split your dose you have to get your timings right for the second jab. If you leave it too late it takes a while to get going. Therefore you will go higher and correct. later on you could hypo. With this irregular pattern I have found it difficult to lose weight.
