Basically it has to be the podiatry folk that look at your feet, as opposed to your DSN, however, they should be more than happy to refer you and get you an appointment..............are the feet folk in the same clinic?

How is your foot doing with the medication you have been given? Is it clearing up? If it is then all your podiatrist will say is keep doing what you are doing...........healing on the feet is the highest priority to them........

Dont stop trying to get seen though........... Wink

Sorry it seems that in Scotland you don't have a PALS service Sad There is a group in Scotland called Local Health Council which has a wonderful website full of marketing and hollow promises but no real substance. I also tried googling for podiatry and diabetes in Glasgow and got very little, more than I little worrying. Do you not have Podiatrists who are also Diabetes experts in Scotland ?? There is supposed to be a national Diabetes Framework and number of 'standards' that PCT's are suposed to meet and footcare should be amongst these. I would agree with Novarapidboi surely your Diabetes team can give you a number for the podiatrist, how can they not have one when its a basic part of diabetes care. If any of our other graduates from Glasgow have any ideas please let us know, this is an unacceptable situation.
