Just to share a little bit of joy- iv found mini meringues in choc/vanilla flavour which are pure delights for when ur craving a bit of something sweet but ur BG wont allow a treat and u dont want to inject! Guilt free snacks- they are also incredibly low in calories and contain no fat! 25 mini meringues are 80 calories..so 1 or 2 are sinless! You can get them online from http://www.avidlite.co.uk/acatalog/Sugar-Free-Meringues--43g-tubs-ALQ037Z.html
(i wouldnt reccommend low-carb sugar free food cos its "empty calories" but these are beaut!)
Also- another great discovery is the WALDEN FARM food range- can get on Amazon. they do a sugar/carb/cholesterol/calorie/fat/sodium free range of products- some are disgusting (the peanut butter is vile) but the choc dip/pancake syrup are pretty good and nice addition to my morning porridge! The salad dressings are also pretty good..worth a wee look! google them!
ALSO- Shitake noodles. Most asian supermarkets have them. they are carb free and only 10 calories per portion. good for anyone on a low-carb diet/trying to lose weight. they are mainly soluble fibre- so fill u up and taste great in stirfrys etc! google them if u dont believe me such a food exists!!
And finally- splenda now do "flavours"... for adding to coffee, and I even use the hazelnut flavour for my porridge..mixed with a bit of choc dip-its a sugar free, carb free, calorie free "nutella" addition to my porridge! soo good.
Hope u enjoy these as much as me

Thanks for the link, they sound good...........
From googling it seems you mean Shirataki Noodles, as opposed to the other commonly used food Shitake, which is a species of mushroom. I use them often when cooking Thai/Chinese stuff at home.........
