There comes a time when we start to think about having children. I have been really excited, until I looked up pregnancy and type 1 diabetics.
It really isn't a nice subject to read, the fact the baby can be born with all sorts of health problems, and higher chance of still births.....I am really upset and scared now, something that is meant to be the most natural thing in the world is still controlled by my diabetes.

And I gave birth to 2 very healthy children almost 30 years ago when blood testing was done ONCE A WEEK at the clinic. Don't be scared. Just stick to a good healthy diet and you should be fine. It's only the next 30 years that will give you the headaches!!! Laughing

Go along to the pregnancy clinic and they will be able to advise you and help you reach your goals when trying to conceive........ Wink

My pregnancy came as a surprise to me (not reccommended, I know)....as soon as I found out I gained tight control and enjoyed the whole pregnancy! Julia was born 7lbs and healthy! Enjoy
