Found this while browsing, maybe of some interest to you all.
Article in the new york times about a vaccine that may be able to cure type 1 diabetes.

Interesting, yes...............if a treatment [vaccine] did become available it could change things for the millions of potential type 1 diabetics...........

Dont know how it work for the existing population whose beta cells have been completely eliminated...........?


Could islet transplants be used together with the vaccine to regenerate beta cell function. who knows? Good luck to them........
