Hi Simon, Marke and All,

Love the iPhone App and Prof Pearson at ARI Woolmanhill is impressed with the style (if not my readings!)

Looking at the latest Balance I see on the back page an ad for a meter which claims to have a function to calculate how much insulin is left in ones body. Seems a pretty useful tool to have.

Any ideas about incorporating this and suggesting a correction dose?

Cheers Richard

Is that the freestyle insulin X?

I know there is an accu check meter, that goes with its pump, that also has a bolus calculator.........

My insulinX gives you a dose taking into account 'active insulin' and corrections........

But the problem I have with it, is it doesn't offer different correction factors at different levels of blood sugar, only at different times, so not totally perfect for all.....

With this is mind, I dont know if giving this feature on the app would be good, as it may not work for all and may open up problems for the developers as they cant/shouldn't be taking responsibility for peoples dose calculations.....

But, you never know.....

Rapidcalc (iphone app) does something similar although it doesnt take into account DAFNE principles.
