An observation about the diary - I am testing 2 hours post meal (or trying to) as I'm in pre-pregnancy mode. Would it be possible to be able to add more tests per day (I often do 10) and the ability to put "after" rather than "before" a meal? I appreciate its not a DAFNE thing per se, but it would be useful!

Also, are we able to set our own targets?

Another vote of thanks for the recent changes to the on-line diary. These are proving really helpful. Claire, I'm sure you're not lazy, just busy :-)

Hi Jess,

Just got back from holiday and I've got a few spare days before going back to work to look at improving the diaries - I've got a list of things already but will add the setting of your own targets to it - initially we wanted to do this but never got round to it. Now it's been requested it becomes a high priority Smile

You can save maximum 10 entries per day, due to space reasons both in our database and on the screen - if this is proving difficult for you then let us know and we will see about increasing this limit.

Thanks,

Simon

I don't know how this would work...but when inputting my data whilst doing DAFNE I found it quite useful using the same column for breakfast, lunch, dinner and bed. At the moment (I think, I am a bit of a newbie with this) it just lists the day's tests. For example 9 times out of 10 the first column would be the breakfast test, but 1 in ten would be a 3am test or 3am hypo. Is there any way for the columns to be set?

Many thanks,
Clare

Jess (and everyone),

We've just rolled out an update which allows you to specify your own diary targets. You can access this via the link on the 'Add' form underneath your diary display.

Could you let me know the advised targets for the 'after meal' types you mentioned, and I'll add them too.

If you specify your own targets this is reflected in your Diary view, as well as any graphs which relate to targets. Let me know if you find any problems/would like any more enhancements.

Thanks,

Simon

Clare - this would be quite difficult to do I'm afraid, as everyone has different amounts of entries of different types in their diary view. You can specify the type of an entry in the input form when you add an entry, and the type is shown when the entry is displayed in your diary. Also, if you hover your mouse over the Blood Glucose reading itself, you will get a longer description of the type of reading.

Sorry I can't be of more help here.

Hi Simon
Just wanted to say how useful the feature that allows you to set your own targets is. just back from my first holiday since my DAFNE course and decided to have slightly higher targets than the norm as I didn't want to hypo due to alcohol etc.. Its been really useful to input the data and see how I did instantly. Thank you

Hi Simon
I use "standard" DAFNE targets, and I've just noticed that a BG entry of 7.6 at bedtime has shown up red (i.e. above target) in my on-line diary. My hard-copy DAFNE Diary shows bedtime target as 6.5 - 8.0. Is this a glitch or have I missed something (entirely possible!!).

Hi Stew,

I did a quick search of our database against your user ID and bg readings of 7.6 and the only one that came up was of type 'Before Breakfast' (although it was saved at 2300) - are you sure the offending entry is saved as type 'Before Bed'?

Note you can change the type by clicking on the entry time in your diary - you'll get an update form.

Thanks,

Simon
