I'd like to thank the DAFNE team for implementing the mobile access to the web information. It's great to be able to get roving access to the handbook and carb counter so easily and especially for it to be repurposed for use via mobile telephones. I know we could access the site before using our phone's web browser but it's the format that really makes the difference.

In the past, I so often found myself guessing at CPs - now I can now look them up if in doubt, in a few seconds. I really appreciate this new functionality. Many thanks.

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your feedback - it is always good to hear something nice. Our aim from the start has been to empower DAFNE Graduates and other people with Type 1 to better control the condition using the power of the internet. Glad to hear we are helping you in this respect with the CP List access.

If there's anything else we can do then please don't hesitate to ask.

Simon

Top! Just tried it on my HP IPAQ Messenger (PDA thingy incorporating a telephone running Windows Mobile V5 I think). Display is fine and dandy and I am sure I will use it in future especially for the carb counter but also for the other features of this site. Well done admin folk - well worth the effort.

thanks for the postive comments and for feeding back your experience. We only have access to a limited number of devices to test with so we are keen to hear anyones experiences with other devices. We then know that the site does work with an number of devices. Obviously if anyone finds a device it doesn't work with, we will try to resolve the issue

Brilliant site - my Nokia E63 works AOK with it. I'll contact the rest of my Dafne Group (first one run in Bromley PCT last week) about the site. Kate!!

Kate, perhaps you could encourage your educators to sign up as well ! I was asked to add Bromley PCT in a hurry so they could generated centre codes for their graduates and as usual no Educator has signed up just graduate(s). YOU need a centre code to access the online handbook, which is why we need an educator to sign up to generate one.

I'm glad you like the mobile site, any improvements you can suggest please feel free to let us know.

Hi Rachel,

Have you already done the DAFNE Course?

BI - Background Insulin (i.e. what you might take before bed)

I did the DAFYDD course about 2 1/2 yrs ago and I'm now trying to refresh my memory. DAFYDD is the same as DAFNE but in Wales they called it DAFYDD. I just couldn't think what BI stood for, but now you have said it, i've remembered. Thank you, Rachel
