i am a recentgraduate.
i have tweaked my ratios and correcions and my daytime meal bg is all on target, but i have a recurring pattern of my first before breakfast bg being 11-14.
despite being 8.5 before bed, 5 hours after tea and with no snacks or sugar drinks,
1. what is the cause (slow carb release? sleep hypo, glycagon>liver relese, insufficient bi)
2. what is the solution? (more bi? not splitting, justevening)
thanx.

Hi,
Could be a number of things. Firstly what BI do you take and are you injecting it just once a day ? Its possible its BI but not necessarily. It could be something called Dawn Phenomenon which is where you body pumps around lots of chemicals to wake you up and get you going after sleep. I detected this with a Freestyle Libre ( see other forum posts). I would check BI first though...
