I am thinking of changing my 'emergency carbs' from Dextro glucose tablets to jelly babies. How many jelly babies make 1 CP?

2-3 I think should do the job..........

Asda's owns brand for example may have a small difference but 2-3 usually does the trick.....

I prefer 250ml of isotnic sports drink..........;)

Gluco juice from Boots or from Amazon works very well. Each 60ml bottle contains 15 gms carb and being liquid are absorbed very quickly. I always carry a couple when out and about. Advantage is you can accurately count how much you have taken carbwise.

I find 3 jelly babies is approx 1 CP (M&S or Morrisons brand).

I use jelly babies to get me out of a hypo. I have found that although DAFNE suggests 3 jelly babies all at once it sometimes takes me too high. I tend to have 1 then take another if needed. I only take 3 if the hypo is quite severe ( not very often thankfully) Smile

Wine gums are my standard treatment since jelly babies break up in my bag way too easily in comparison.
I usually eat 4 regardless of brand since most are individually about <5g and I want the standard 20g (I'm saying this because found it can be less with some sweets).
Sometimes I get cola bottles instead for a change. Smile Adds a bit of pleasantness to the experience, lol.

I've bought a couple of bags of Bassett's jelly babies and they're really nice - a treat as well as a treatment!

I m a major consumer of Dextro Energy tablets personally(especially tropical flavour ones!): bit easier to transport than jelly babies, and easy to work out how many if a bit low. For those really low moments (rare, but they do happen) I m a fan of Lucozade Sport: all v old school but I know where I am with em! Never been keen on jelly babies as a sweet any way...! Very Happy
