Type 1 for 12 years - Dafne for 4years. Seem to have developed new problem during early evening. Last night score of 10 before supper - only had 2 small potatoes with meal, plus fruit afterwards. Have regime of 3:1 in evenings of humalog so injected 12. Bed at 11.00pm and score was 19. Had normal basal insulin + 6 extra humalog. This morning score of 10. Have noticed this trend for last few days. Anyone recognise this pattern? |

Are you on Lantus or Levemir? - and how many injections a day? It may be that your base insulin is running out in the evenings. Also did you drink anything with meal? |

Im with marky boy, in the first instance, all being that you had no extra unnacounted carbs, I would say your basal is running out, or that you may need to up the AM dose if you are on a split basal dose................. |

Thanks for replies - I too came to same conclusion. My basal dose is split so I have increased am dose - hope it works. Re Mark 2 - yes I had one glass of wine. Thanks. |
