Hi can you help me, what it is, I am waking up every morning with reading of 8.3, it doesn't matter how much Lantau I have, I am still every morning waking up with reading of 8.3. Any advice much appreciated, thanks Dean

I don't think you should worry too much about a reading of 8.3 - I wish I was 8.3 every morning.
If your reading is exactly 8.3 EVERY morning, you should check the meter out with the control solutions that came with the meter.

Have you completed a diary of your readings and can rule out a faulty meter?
As Alan suggests a control solution is a great idea but make sure it is still in date as they only have a short shelf life

If its just a few days at the same reading I would not be overly worried.
Consider contacting your Diabetes Nurse if you cannot see what the fault is or why your readings should be the same.

8.3 isn't bad at all but I can understand you want to get it on target....

Have you increased your Lantus dose till you went hypo...? Is that what you mean when you say it doesn't matter how much you have?
