Infection?

Hello all,

New to the site as just completed DAFNE which I found informing, just a quick question I've been having a pain in my lower abdomen/groin area, I am unsure if this is an "inside" infection or a muscle injury perhaps? Sorry it's a bit vague! However would this show on my blood glucose results if it was an infection of some kind?

An infection will raise BG for sure. I could need about 3 times as much insulin as normal with an infection. Hasn't happened to often thankfully. If your BG are raised keep an eye on ketones...

Best to check it out as not all infections (chest infection/sinus infection) raise my BS. Everyone responds differently to infection. Good Luck 🍀
