Spotted this on a science site - clearly a long way to go, but it is moving in the right direction.

I like the way, that the patch itself decides when to release the insulin, no need for a monitor - and if the report is to be fully believed, this could be tailored to suit.

I suspect that if it does make it to trials and then to supply, it won't be as good as it sounds now - some of the functionality will be dropped for cost reasons, but, you never know, could lead to a whole new way of treating - chemicals reacting in a predictable way to levels of another chemical - thats how the body does it.

The local diabetic support group that I belong to was approached by someone from a local university doing a study as to whether this would be feasable, or if people would use it. We filled in a questionnaire but heard nothing back. This was in 2014
